Hello!  My name is Beth Hawley and I am entering my 14th year of teaching here at St. Thomas the Apostle School. I am beginning my 38th year as a MA certified educator and have taught in the Miami, FL school system and here in the Springfield Diocesan school system.  I have taught grades 4 – 8 during this time and have also worked in different roles within the school systems throughout my career.  I have served as assistant principal and director of development while working at Our Lady of Hope School in Springfield.  I have also coached basketball, soccer and softball at the junior high, high school and collegiate levels.  My college degree is a B.A. in Elementary Education and I have also obtained a Masters Degree in Education.  In addition, I have earned a Graduate Certificate in Teaching Middle School Mathematics.

While having worked in different roles within a school community, teaching middle school students is what I enjoy most. The challenges and joy that I receive daily are my greatest reward!

I look forward to a great school year with my students and anticipate many great rewards coming my way!
