This is my 29th year of teaching at St. Thomas School.

Second Grade is an important and busy year with two main focus areas, academics and spiritual life. It is a year where we continue to build the foundations of math and language arts, but also very special because the children prepare for and receive the double sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion.

Teaching has always been a big part of my life.  As a child in grammar school, while the Sisters took their lunch break, they would allow selected students to serve as “Junior Teachers”.  It was here that I first found the excitement of teaching and knew there was no other career choice I would love more.

From there, I continued my journey in Catholic schools at Cathedral High School and Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, before completing my degree at Westfield State College.

My husband and I are proud to have  raised our four sons in West Springfield, where they received an excellent education at St. Thomas School.

I am very honored to have received the Rotary Club Teacher of Excellence Award, as well as the Sr. Betty Gould Excellence in Teaching Award.

In addition to teaching, I serve as the Faculty Representative on the P.T.O., a  facilitator for Battle of the Books, a member of the Catholic School’s Week and Crisis Management Committees, assistant to the Drama Club, and I help plan the Living Rosary/Crowning of Mary in May.

I love this school and the people that fill its hallways. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s life.
